Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, expert in disaster prevention and control of underground engineering and tunnel engineering, specially appointed professor of Changjiang Scholars, winner of the National Outstanding Youth Fund. He is currently Vice President of Shandong University, Director of the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education for Large Underground Caverns, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering, Chairman of the Underground Engineering Branch of the Chinese Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering, and Chief Editor of the International Journal ‘Tunnelling and Underground Space Technology’.
